New Cement Silo Commissioned at Medcem Port

A new cement silo has been commissioned at Medcem Port, located in the Yeşilovacık district of Silifke/Taşucu and operating under the supervision of the Taşucu Port Authority and Taşucu Customs Directorate. With an annual handling capacity of 8,000,000 metric tons, the port’s capacity expansion project reached an important milestone on 10 February 2025 with the commissioning of the new silo. The 20,000-ton silo increased total cement storage capacity from 38,000 tons to 58,000 tons, enhancing the port’s logistical capabilities and improving the efficiency of cement shipment operations in the region.
