Modern Oluklu Mukavva Ambalaj San.ve Tic A.Ş. has opened a new corrugated cardboard plant in Sakarya with a $100 million investment.

With an annual production capacity of 200 thousand tons and an enclosed area of 64,000 m2, the plant stands out for its modern, fully automated lines.

Incepted in 1997 in Çorlu, Modern Ambalaj began producing corrugated cardboard in Türkiye. Prior to the opening of the Sakarya plant, Modern Ambalaj had the largest corrugated production capacity in Türkiye, producing 800 thousand tons per year in a 244,000 m2 enclosed area with plants in Manisa, Kayseri, Bursa, Gebze, Eskişehir, and Istanbul. With the addition of the Sakarya plant, the company now has an enclosed area of 308,000 m2 and an annual production capacity of one million tons.

This $100 million investment in corrugated cardboard by the packaging group, one of Eren Holding's flagship sectors, which operates in the energy, packaging, paper, cement, retail, and textile sectors, has made the Sakarya plant the largest one in Türkiye in terms of tons, along with the current Istanbul plant.

Eren Holding and all its companies continue to contribute to employment and the national economy by long-term investments based on the principles of sustainable production and the environment.
