The financing of Eren Enerji's 1,320 MW installed capacity ZETES 3 Thermal Power Plant Project in Çatalağzı was named the "Best Project Finance in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Region in 2013" by EMEA Finance. An $800 million loan package was provided by Garanti Bank and İşbank for the $1.05 billion project and is the largest amount of financing provided for an energy investment project in Europe in 2013.
