The new PM-6 investment by Modern Karton is adjacent to the Zonguldak Eren Enerji ZETES Power Generation Plants.

The PM-6 investment has a 600,000-ton annual capacity, and the facility will produce test liner and fluting paper in a range of different weights.

The new PM-6 machinery is scheduled to begin production n the fourth quarter of 2023, at an estimated investment cost of $540 million.

When the PM-6 investment is commissioned, 100% wastepaper will be used as raw material during the production process. This environmentally friendly approach will prevent the felling of around 13.6 million trees per year. By utilizing the idle steam produced by Eren Enerji's electricity generation facility, the steam supply required to dry the paper during production will be fully recovered.
