Modern Karton, Turkey's largest producer of packaging paper, is increasing its capacity to 1.1 million tons with a new investment of 350 million euros. Modern Karton, which is preparing to become one of the largest in Europe with the commissioning of its fifth machine, aims to save 8 million mature trees each year by manufacturing from 100% recycled materials.

Modern Karton also employs the "reverse osmosis" system, a first in Turkey, after a $35-million investment in a treatment plant. This system purifies and reuses 100% of the wastewater from existing machines, eliminating the need for a new water source. With this feature, Modern Karton, which supports its environmental awareness through investments, undertakes an important mission in the sector.
