Eren Enerji is currently leading the ZETES journey, which began in 2009 in order to help supply the rapidly increasing demand for electricity in the energy sector in our country;

- There are our units with a total installed capacity of 2,790 MW located in Çatalağzı and Muslu in the province of Zonguldak. These include 160 MWe with Fluidized Bed technology, 2x615 MWe with Super Critical Pulverized Coal, and 2x700 MWe, in addition to our Port Facilities.

ZETES 1

This is a reference to the 160 MWe unit located in the southern part of the Zonguldak Eren Thermal Power Plant. By utilizing circulating fluidized bed technology, the thermal power plant generates steam.

After the combustion occurs in the circulating fluidized bed boiler, the superheated steam that is produced will enter the high-pressure sections of the turbine, where it will expand before colliding with the turbine blades and releasing its energy to the rotors. The temperature of the steam as it exits the high-pressure turbine is increased once more in the section of the boiler known as the superheater before it is routed into the medium-pressure turbine that is integrated with the low-pressure stage. The mechanical energy that is produced by hitting the turbine blades is converted into electrical energy in the generator, which is connected to the same mechanical assembly (shaft) as the turbine. TEİAŞ's interconnected system receives the energy that has been generated through lines that are 154 kV in voltage.

ZETES 2

ZETES2 refers to the 2x615 MWe units located in the southern section of the Zonguldak Eren Thermal Power Plant.

The supercritical, Pi(n) type boiler produces two stages of steam that are then sent to the turbine. By going through a condenser that is cooled by water, the steam is turned back into the water. This process allows the steam to transfer its thermal energy to the blades of the turbine. The turbine's HP, IP, and LP stages all contribute to the generation of mechanical energy, which is then converted into electrical energy by a generator that is connected to the same shaft as the turbine. The generated energy is delivered via 380 kV lines to the TEAAŞ interconnected system (Bölücek TM, Ada2 TM, ZETES 3 GIS).

ZETES 3

ZETES 3 refers to the 2x700 MWe units located in the northern section of the Zonguldak Eren Thermal Power Plant.

The supercritical, Pi(n) type boiler produces two stages of steam that are then sent to the turbine in this plant. The generated energy is supplied to the interconnected system of TEİAŞ via 380 kV lines (Osmanca TM, Bartın TM, Karadeniz GIS, ZETES 2 GIS).

EREN PORT

Eren Port is at 41°23'30" N and 31°37'51" E.

It handles approximately 7,000,000 tonnes of coal required by Eren Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. on an annual basis, as well as loading approximately 1,000,000 tonnes of materials such as fly ash and gypsum by-products. It has an annual capacity of handling approximately 15,000,000 tonnes of cargo and 100,000 TEUVs with all necessary machinery. Moreover, it handles third-party imports and exports. Approximately 2,500,000 tonnes of miscellaneous cargo are also handled. The amount of cargo that is handled on an annual basis is 10,500,000 tonnes.

The Water Intake Structure that supplies cooling water to the ZETES 1-2-3 units, is situated in Eren Port.

Eren Port has a total of four berths available for loading and unloading, , offering pilotage and towage services, in addition to port management services with its expert staff.

- Berth 1 is 300 meters long and capable of accommodating ships with varying capacities up to 200,000 DWT / 227,000 dt.

- Berth 2 is 250 meters long and capable of accommodating vessels with varying capacities up to 80,000 DWT/98,000 dt.

- Berth 3 is 260-meters long and capable of accommodating vessels with varying capacities up to 80,000 dwt/98,000 dt.

- Berth 4 is 240-meters long and capable of accommodating vessels with varying capacities up to 40,000 DWT/50,000 dt.

- The RORO berth is 35 meters long with capacitiy of 6.895 DWT/18.528 dt.
