Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Policy

The purpose of this policy, s to provide a working environment that is both healthy and safe for all employees of Eren Holding, as well as for stakeholders, contractors, and employees of contractors, and visitors within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management System, national and international legal requirements, and other required conditions. In this context, we commit to assisting all Eren Holding employees and employee representatives, stakeholders, contractors, employees of contractors, their employee representatives (if any), and visitors in becoming aware of and embracing occupational health and safety.

Our goal is to protect against occupational accidents, diseases, pandemics, and infectious diseases through continuous improvement. Every individual affiliated with Eren Holding, including employees, employee representatives, stakeholders, contractors, employees of contractors, their employee representatives, if any, and visitors, has a responsibility to contribute to and adhere to this policy. All individuals and their employees on every level are required to collaborate with the Occupational Health and Safety Team in the workplace, as mandated by legislation, to prevent health and safety risks.

To accomplish our policy objectives:
  • We adhere to national and international legal regulations and other obligations pertaining to occupational health and safety (OHS) in all the regions where we conduct business, including existing areas, new investments, and operations. We adapt to changing conditions.
  • We regard the Occupational Health and Safety culture as an essential component of our organisation and a shared obligation of all employees. We create a communication environment necessary to understand the OHS needs and expectations of our staff, and we value the exchange of knowledge and insight.
  • We establish attainable and quantifiable objectives and conduct routine reviews of our Occupational Health and Safety performance to achieve continuous improvement. To increase our employees' positive contribution to OHS performance, we provide them with all pertinent trainings and motivate them through social and cultural activities designed to boost morale and drive.
  • We are committed to safeguarding our employees from occupational accidents, occupational diseases, infectious diseases, chronic illnesses, and deteriorating health. In addition to this, we make every effort to ensure a healthy working environment, healthy nutrition, and an active lifestyle.
  • We employ a proactive approach in identifying, eliminating, or reducing risks to acceptable levels in both ongoing and planned activities. We pay attention to near-miss notifications and repetitions, and proactively take actions.
  • In emergencies, we implement essential measures to mitigate potential risks to employee life and property, ensure operational protection, equipment, training support, and necessary resources, and engage in ongoing improvement endeavours.
  • We prioritise the well-being and safety of our stakeholders, subcontractors, visitors, and employees across all organisational tiers by identifying potential workplace hazards and implementing preventative measures.
The policy document is established by the Eren Holding OHS Board, reviewed by Human Resources and becomes effective upon the approval of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eren Holding. Where considered necessary, proposed amendments are submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. Any updates are duly informed to all stakeholders and employees.
