Medcem Çimento plant was built by Medcem Madencilik ve Yapı Malzemeleri San. Tic. A.Ş. using state-of-the-art technological systems with the highest sensitivity to the environment and commenced production in the second half of 2015.

In the first quarter of 2024, Medcem was able to achieve a capacity increase of 90 percent, becoming one of the largest cement factories in the world. Through the Group's Medcem Port port, which can accommodate vessels with a DWT of up to 60,000, ninety percent of the Medcem Çimento plant’s production is shipped out to several countries.

Most of our factory’s output is destined for export, and we aspire to steadily increase our market share in the global market to become a globally expanding and recognized brand.

With a total investment of USD 110 million, Medcem Solid Waste Incineration Plant was established in Çorlu in 2015, as Turkey's first Solid Waste Incineration Plant.

Our Solid Waste Incineration Plant is responsible for converting the wastepaper and treatment sludge that are produced during the paper production process at the Group company Modern Karton, as well as the wastepaper from other paper mills in the surrounding area, into energy.

By waste disposal, the plant contributes significantly to the environment, regional industrialists, and the national economy. The total capacity of the plant is 27.6 MW/h of electricity or 100 tons/h of steam.
