Medcem Port was established in Yeşilovacık district in Silifke/Taşucu under the supervision of the Taşucu Port Authority and Taşucu Customs Directorate for the purpose of discharging ships bringing fuel and raw materials required by the Medcem Cement Factory, another Group company, as well as for the shipment of clinker and cement produced in our Factory by ships. The project to boost the extra dock, silo, and handling capacity of our port in parallel with the ongoing capacity augmentation works at our Medcem Cement Plant is under way and scheduled to be completed in 2024.

Parallel to the ongoing capacity expansion projects at our Medcem Cement plant, we are working on alternative projects to expand our port's additional port, additional silo, and handling capacity in the coming period.

It is envisaged that these evaluations will be finalized in a very short time and work will begin immediately on completing the works necessary to increase capacity.
