Medcem Silifke Castle Excavation Sponsorship

Project Details:

Supported by Medcem Madencilik A.Ş. and implemented within the scope of a protocol signed with the Mersin Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the Silifke Castle Excavation Sponsorship commenced on 1 October 2022. The project was initiated to support the continuity of the archaeological excavation and restoration works carried out at Silifke Castle.

The support provided for the scientific research, conservation, and restoration of the historic castle makes a significant contribution to excavation processes. Medcem’s commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage contributes to enhancing the visibility of Silifke’s historical fabric while also enabling the sustainable support of regional tourism.
