Converse was founded by Marquis M. Converse in 1908 in Malden, Massachusetts. In 1915, with a quiet innovative decision the company started production of basketball shoes. This decision is considered as the main turning point of the brand and it gave rise to Converse All-Star. In 1921, the company collaborated with a basketball player named Chuck Taylor and his signature was added to All-Star patch becoming Chuck Taylor All-Star. This collaboration lead to a sale of more than 80 millions of Chuck Taylor pairs every year. In time as worn by sportsman, artists and musicians, people started to identify the Converse brand with the words “creativity and freedom””. Today the brand has sales points in many countries around the world and is considered as the symbol of “creativity” and “street style”.

In 2015, Eren Perakende got the distributorship rights of Converse for Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Georgia.
